Craig McAllister

Craig earned his medical degree from the University of Washington and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Hospital, Bronx New York. After completing his fellowship in arthritis surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, he began private practice in Kirkland.


Craig has a substantial experience in the orthopedic implant industry and is a recognized designer of instruments and implants. He has a proven track record in combining hands-on teaching methods, surgeon education, and instrument design. He likes to design instruments that make surgery and can carry instruments those instruments from initial concepts to final manufacture. He communicates equally well with surgeons and engineers.


As the originator of the only fully-equipped MIS-Navigation lab in Washington State, he has a solid background in education and research and development. He is recognized for numerous lectures, publications, and research efforts in areas of MIS and computer navigation. His team developed original instruments for MIS-navigation techniques and published one of the original articles documenting the advantages of these techniques in knee replacement.


Craig’s entrepreneurial efforts are complemented by his penchant for assembling the right people and putting them in leadership roles. His days off are spent with his wife and three children. He enjoys skiing, water-skiing, mountain-biking, golfing, and enjoying good wine with great friends.
