Surgeon Education

At EORL we provide seminars and cadaver labs that are catered to a surgeons unique wants and needs. Before the actual lab begins, the surgeon will have a chance to meet with on of our lead surgeons in order to discuss what the upcoming lab will accomplish. The surgeon will then sit in on an hour-long PowerPoint walkthrough that contains important information about MIS techniques and computer navigation. One of our fundamental philosophies at EORL states that we will not sacrifice our ability to see everything when performing minimally invasive surgery. In order to do this we must observe things at different steps in the procedure. This also takes more precise retractor use. After the course is over the surgeon will have learned and performed multiple complex MIS techniques on a cadaver knee. We believe that these techniques will be essential to maintaining orthopedic practice in the near future.

Surgeon Education

During the EORL lab sessions, surgeons will have plenty of time to ask questions and receive advice. Our goal is to get surgeons well on their way to performing new techniques in their practice.

One of the features we try to emphasize is the utilization of navigation in minimally invasive surgeries. This photo displays the navigation tracker placement in a knee replacement.
